Did you participate in Take Your Dog to Work Day on Friday, June 24th this year?

First celebrated in 1999, Pet Sitters International’s Take Your Dog To Work Day® was created to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs. This annual event asks pet lovers to celebrate the humane-canine bond and promote pet adoption by encouraging their employers to support TYDTWDay by opening their workplace to employees’ four-legged friends on this one special day.

Even if you didn’t this year, you can still enter the contest!  All you have to do is submit a great photo of your furry, four-legged friend at work to the Take Your Dog To Work Photo Contest Page before July 31, 2011.  The winner will receive $500 cash and a $500 donation to the winner’s animal shelter of choice!  What a great way to earn a little spending dough for yourself this summer, as well as support our local Knoxville animal shelters.
