Angela – South Knox

I am a single woman originally from New Orleans. I grew up there in a large family with four siblings and an adorable light brown lab mix named George. George and I had many walks together in Audubon Park. During my 40’s and 50’s I took care of my own five cats and rescued lots of strays and found them homes by temporarily housing them and running ads in the newspaper for homes.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, I drove my Dad and my two lab/chow mix dogs to Florida and then to Tennessee to recover from the trauma of the storm. My older dog, Binxie, died of cancer at age 12 in 2012 and his litter mate, Diamond, is still with me. She will be 15 in July and still walks daily with me and her newly-acquired sister, Maggie, who is an 8-year-old re-homed schnauzer. I dearly love my dogs and all types of animals and enjoy walking with them and friends in beautiful Knoxville and surrounding areas.

I have done pet-sitting in the past around town and also  teach piano and drive for Uber on weekends. I worked for years as a medical transcriptionist but now do that as a freelancer part time since that occupation is so different due to offshoring.
